Two identical bullets are fired one by a light rifle and another by a heavy rifle with the same force. Which rifle will hurt the shoulder more and why? (CBSE 2012)
Solution:
Recoil velocity of gun $=\frac{\text { momentum of bullet }}{\text { mass of gun }}$
Recoil velocity of light rifle is more than that of heavy rifle. Therefore, light rifle will hurt the shoulder more than heavy rifle.
