The surface area of a sphere is 616 cm2 .

Question:

The surface area of a sphere is 616 cm2 . Find its radius.

Solution:

The surface area of sphere = 616k cm2

We know that

$4 \pi r^{2}=616$

$r^{2}=\frac{616}{4 \pi}$

Taking squire root both the side

$\sqrt{r^{2}}=\sqrt{\frac{616}{4 \pi}}$

$r=7 \mathrm{~cm}$
