Solution:
Rainfall recorded $=5 \mathrm{~cm}=0.05 \mathrm{~m}$
Area of the field $=2$ hectare $=2 \times 10000 \mathrm{~m}^{2}=20000 \mathrm{~m}^{2}$
Total rain over the field = Area of the field $\times$ Height of the field $=0.05 \times 20000=1000 \mathrm{~m}^{3}$
