Solution:

We have:
Tn = (3n + 5)
Common difference = T2 - T1
T1 = 3 ⨯ 1 + 5 = 8
T2 = 3 ⨯ 2 + 5 = 11
d = 11 - 8 = 3
Hence, the common difference is 3.
