Solve the following

Question:

Solve: $\frac{2 x+7}{3 x+5}=\frac{15}{17}$

Solution:

$\frac{2 x+7}{3 x+5}=\frac{15}{17}$

$\Rightarrow 17(2 x+7)=15(3 x+5) \Rightarrow 34 x+119=45 x+75 \Rightarrow 119-75=45 x-34 x \Rightarrow 44=11 x \Rightarrow x=\frac{44}{11}=4 \therefore x=4$
