Solution:

Given :

$x^{2}+12 x+35=0$

$\Rightarrow x^{2}+7 x+5 x+35=0$

$\Rightarrow x(x+7)+5(x+7)=0$

$\Rightarrow(x+5)(x+7)=0$

$\Rightarrow x+5=0$ or $x+7=0$

$\Rightarrow x=-5$ or $x=-7$

Hence, $-5$ and $-7$ are the roots of the equation $x^{2}+12 x+35=0$.
