Solution:

Current through $2 \mathrm{k} \Omega$ resistance

$\mathrm{I}=\frac{5}{2 \times 10^{3}}=2.5 \times 10^{-3} \mathrm{~A}$

$\mathrm{I}=25 \times 10^{-4} \mathrm{~A}$
