Heat capacity (Cp) is an extensive property

Question:

Heat capacity (Cp) is an extensive property but specific heat (c) is an intensive property. What will be the relation between Cpand c for 1 mol of water?

Solution:

1 mole of water = 18 g.

Hence, for water Heat capacity = 18 × specific heat.

i.e. Cp = 18 × C .
