Solution:
We have:
$5^{2 x} \div 5^{-3}=5^{5}$
$5^{2 x+3}=5^{5} \quad \cdots a^{m} \div a^{n}=a^{m-n}$
$2 x+3=5$
$2 x=2$
$x=1$
Hence, x is 1.
