Question:
Find the value
$6 a b-b^{2}+12 a c-2 b c$
Solution:
Taking $b$ common in $\left(6 a b-b^{2}\right)$ and $2 c$ in $(12 a c-2 b c)$
$=b(6 a-b)+2 c(6 a-b)$
Taking $(6 a-b)$ common in the terms
$=(6 a-b)(b+2 c)$
$\therefore 6 a b-b^{2}+12 a c-2 b c=(6 a-b)(b+2 c)$
