Find the sum of additive inverse and multiplicative inverse of 7.

Solution:

Additive inverse of 7 = – 7

Multiplicative inverse of 7 = 1/7

Then,

Sum of additive inverse and multiplicative inverse of 7 = -7 + (1/7)

= (-49 + 1)/7

= – 48/7
