Find the ratio of the total surface area and lateral surface area of a cube.

Question:

Find the ratio of the total surface area and lateral surface area of a cube.

Solution:

Total Surface Area of the Cube $(T S A)=6 a^{2}$

Where, a = edge of the cube

And, Lateral surface area of the Cube (LSA) $=4 \mathrm{a}^{2}$

Where, a = edge of the cube

Hence, Ratio of TSA and LSA $=6 a^{2} / 4 a^{2}=3 / 2$ is $3: 2$.
