Solution:

Each exterior angle $=\left(\frac{360}{\mathrm{n}}\right)^{\circ}$

For a regular pentagon, $n=5$.

$\therefore$ Exterior angle $=\left(\frac{360}{5}\right)^{\circ}=72^{\circ}$
