Solution:
We have:
$2 a+6 b-3(a+3 b)^{2}=2(a+3 b)-3(a+3 b)^{2}$
$=(a+3 b)\{2-3(a+3 b)\}$
$=(a+3 b)(2-3 a-9 b)$
$\therefore 2 a+6 b-3(a+3 b)^{2}=(a+3 b)(2-3 a-9 b)$
