Solution:

$3(a-2 b)^{2}-5(a-2 b)=(a-2 b)\{3(a-2 b)-5\}$

$=(a-2 b)(3 a-6 b-5)$

$\therefore 3(a-2 b)^{2}-5(a-2 b)=(a-2 b)(3 a-6 b-5)$
