Divide:x2 − 5x + 6 by x − 3
$\frac{x^{2}-5 x+6}{x-3}$
$=\frac{x^{2}-3 x-2 x+6}{x-3}$
$=\frac{x(x-3)-2(x-3)}{(x-3)}$
$=\frac{(x-3)(x-2)}{(x-3)}$
$=x-2$
