NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria by NTA must be checked by candidates before NEET 2020 Registration Process.
Age limit
Candidates must have completed minimum 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2020. The upper age limit is 25 years as on the date of examination (5 year relaxation is given to SC, ST, OBC-NCL & PwD candidates).
Candidates above 25 years are provisionally permitted to appear and their candidature is subject to the outcome of pending Petitions before the Honorable Supreme Court.
Qualification
As per NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria by NTA, candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th Standard in 2020, whose result is awaited or a candidate who has already cleared 12th Standard may apply and appear in the test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage at the time of first round of Counselling.
Mandatory Subjects
Students in their 12th level must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology with English as mandatory subject.
Percentage
General category candidates must score minimum 50% marks, 45% marks for PH & 40% marks for reserved category (ST/SC) candidates.
Eligibility for 15% All India Quota Seats
J&K and Ladakh candidates will be eligible to apply for 15% All India Quotas only on the basis of self-declaration.
Nationality
Indian National, Non Resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign National citizen will be eligible to apply for NEET 2020.Lower Age limit
