NCERT Solutions For Class 9 Maths Chapter 7 Exercise 7.1 Triangles - PDF Download

Class 9

NCERT solutions for class 9 maths chapter 7 ex 7.1 triangle covers the topic of the Congruence of triangles. Since triangle congruence is one of the most important math topics used in construction and architecture, students need to understand this topic because it is very important in real life. Ex 7.1 class 9 maths chapter 7 Triangle is a series of problems that focus on proving the conditions of a triangle congruence. So, it is important for students to understand all the different parts of a triangle congruence. This will help them answer all the questions included in ex 7.1 with confidence.

Understanding triangle congruence will help students learn about even shapes. The first exercise of class 9 maths chapter 7 is ex 7.1. It consists of eight questions about the proof based on the congruence rules. This is why it is important that you first learn theorems relevant to this topic and then move on to the exercise questions. We have provided NCERT solutions for chapter 7 ex 7.1 in class 9 maths. Students can use NCERT solutions provided by our expert teachers of maths whenever they have trouble solving the questions. By solving these questions, you can achieve good marks in the final exam. You can also download the free PDF of NCERT solutions available on eSaral.

Topics Covered in Exercise 7.1 class 9 Mathematics Questions

Ex 7.1 class 9 maths chapter 7 of NCERT solutions is mainly concerned with the properties, theorems, congruence and similarity of triangles. Here, you can go through these topics to get a clear understanding of questions in ex 7.1.

1.

Congruence of Triangles

2.

Criteria for Congruence Of Triangles

3.

Theorem 7.1

  1. Congruence of Triangles - If the sides and angles of two triangles are equal, then the triangle is congruent.

We can say that two figures are congruent, if they are of the same shape and of the same size.

The symbol of congruent is ‘≅’.

Two circles of the same radii are congruent.

Two squares of the same sides are congruent.

Congruence of two triangles

If two triangles ABC and PQR are congruent under the correspondence A ↔ P, B ↔ Q and C ↔ R, then symbolically, it is expressed as ∆ ABC ≅ ∆ PQR.

  1. Criteria for Congruence Of Triangles

Rule 1- SAS (Side-Angle-Side) Congruence rule - If the one triangle’s two sides and the including angle is equal to another triangle then they are called congruent triangles.

Rule 2 - ASA (Angle-Side-Angle) Congruence rule - If two sides and the included angle of one triangle are equal to two sides and the included angle of the other triangle, then the two triangles are congruent.

Rule 3 - AAS (Angle-Angle-Side) Congruence rule - If two angles and one side of one triangle are equal to two angles and the corresponding side of the other triangle, then the two triangles are congruent.

  1. Theorem 7.1 -  (ASA congruence rule) : Two triangles are congruent if two angles and the included side of one triangle are equal to two angles and the included side of the other triangle.
