Finding square root by division method
Here are the Steps to find the square root by division method:
Step 1- First, we need to make the pair of digits from right and if there are odd number of digits, then the single number left at left will also have a bar.
Step 2- Find the largest number whose square is less than or equal to the number under the extreme left bar. Take this number as the divisor and the quotient with the number under the extreme left bar as the dividend. Divide and get the remainder.
Step 3- Bring down the number under the next bar to the right of the remainder.
Step 4- Double the quotient and enter it with a blank on its right.
Step 5- Guess a largest possible digit to fill the blank which will also become the new digit in the quotient, such that when the new divisor is multiplied to the new quotient the product is less than or equal to the dividend.
Step 6- If there are a large number of digits then you can repeat the steps 3, 4, 5 until the remainder does not become 0.

Square Roots of Decimals
In order to find the square root of a decimal number, we must apply bars to the primary part of the number as described above. For the numbers on the right side of the decimal, we need to put bars starting from the first decimal place.
The rest of the method is the same as above. All we have to do is add a decimal in between when the decimal will come in the division.
