  • $(a+b)^{2}=a^{2}+2 a b+b^{2}$
  • $(a-b)^{2}=a^{2}-2 a b+b^{2}$
  • $(a+b)^{3}=a^{3}+b^{3}+3 a b(a+b)$
  • $(a-b)^{3}=a^{3}-b^{3}-3 a b(a-b)$
  • $(a+b)^{4}=a^{4}+4 a^{3} b+6 a^{2} b^{2}+4 a b^{3}+b^{4}$
  • $(a-b)^{4}=a^{4}-4 a^{3} b+6 a^{2} b^{2}-4 a b^{3}+b^{4}$
  • $(a+b+c)^{2}=a^{2}+b^{2}+c^{2}+2 a b+2 a c+2 b c$
  • $a^{2}-b^{2}=(a+b)(a-b)$
  • $a^{2}+b^{2}=(a+b)^{2}-2 a b$
  • $a^{3}-b^{3}=(a-b)\left(a^{2}+a b+b^{2}\right)$
  • $a^{3}+b^{3}=(a+b)\left(a^{2}-a b+b^{2}\right)$
