Hey, students are you looking for Direct and Inverse Proportions Class 8 Maths Formulas? If yes. Then you are at the right place.
In this post, we have listed all the formulas of Direct and Inverse Proportions class 8 that you can use to learn and understand the concepts easily.
If you want to improve your class 8 Math, Direct and Inverse Proportions concepts, then it is super important for you to learn and understand all the formulas.
By using these formulas you will learn about how to calculate Direct and Inverse Proportions.
With the help of these formulas, you can revise the entire chapter easily.
When x and y are in direct proportions, we have:
$\frac{x_{1}}{y_{1}}=\frac{x_{2}}{y_{2}}=\frac{x_{3}}{y_{3}}$
When x and y are in inverse proportion, then
$x_{1} \times y_{1}=x_{2} \times y_{2}=x_{3} \times y_{3}$, and so on.

Direct and Inverse Proportions Class 8 Maths Formulas
Direct proportion
Two quantities $x$ and $y$ are said to be in direct proportion if whenever the value of $x$ increases (or decreases), then the value of $y$ increases (or decreases) in such a way that the ratio $\frac{x}{y}$ remams constant. When x and y are in direct proportions, we have:
$\frac{x_{1}}{y_{1}}=\frac{x_{2}}{y_{2}}=\frac{x_{3}}{y_{3}}$
Inverse proportion
Two quantities $x$ and $y$ are said to be in inverse proportion, if whenever the value of $x$ increases (or decreases), then the value of $y$ decreases (or increases) in such a way that $x y$ remains constant. When x and y are in inverse proportion, then
$x_{1} \times y_{1}=x_{2} \times y_{2}=x_{3} \times y_{3}$, and so on.
